Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El‑Hefny met Iraqi Ambassador Qahtan Taha Khalaf in Cairo to explore prospects for cooperation in civil aviation and exchange of expertise.
Talks focused on opportunities in training, technical support and capacity building, alongside mechanisms for exchange visits and joint programmes to strengthen human resources and operational performance.
El‑Hefny affirmed Egypt’s keenness to expand cooperation with Iraq, particularly in training and technical assistance, to serve mutual interests. Ambassador Khalaf expressed Iraq’s desire to broaden bilateral ties and benefit from Egypt’s advanced technical capabilities and training programmes, highlighting the importance of opening new avenues of collaboration between the two countries.
This meeting reflects the shared commitment to deepening bilateral relations and leveraging civil aviation as a strategic sector for cooperation and development.
