Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed today the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Egypt’s El Nasr Automotive Company and China’s FAW Car Group to manufacture a range of vehicles under the “Nasr” brand. The ceremony took place at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Issa.

The agreement was signed by Mohamed El-Saadawy, Chairman and Executive Managing Director of the Metallurgical Industries Holding Company; Nabil Mohamed Hamad, Executive Managing Director of El Nasr Automotive; Liu Zong Qin, Chairman of FAW Car Group; and Yang Shao Fu, Head of International Operations at FAW Car Group.

El-Saadawy emphasized that the partnership crowns months of discussions and coordination, reflecting mutual trust and a shared commitment to building long-term cooperation. He noted that the deal will help transfer modern technology, increase local content, and support Egypt’s efforts to revive its national automotive industry and strengthen competitiveness in regional markets.

Hamad explained that the agreement is expected to bolster El Nasr’s plans to deliver high-quality products under the “Nasr” name, aligned with international standards, meeting Egyptian market needs while opening new horizons for expansion and exports.

Both sides highlighted the government’s continuous support for the industrial sector, describing the partnership as a milestone toward building a modern national automotive industry based on advanced technology and high standards of quality and efficiency. They stressed that the project will add value to Egypt’s economy and contribute to sustainable development.
