The Armed Forces organised a special event to present Egypt’s plans for hosting the second edition of the Alamein International Air and Space Show (EIAS 2026), scheduled to take place in Alamein City this September.

The ceremony was attended by Air Force Commander Air Marshal Amr Sokar, Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh Hefny, Chief Executive of the Egyptian Space Agency Magid Ismail, senior military officials, accredited military and commercial attachés, and representatives of leading international aviation companies.

The organising committee reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to delivering a world-class exhibition that strengthens its international standing. The event is regarded as one of the leading aviation and aerospace exhibitions in Africa and the Middle East, providing a platform for exchanging expertise and showcasing the latest developments in aviation and space technologies.

The event featured a presentation and documentary highlighting the success of the inaugural edition, which attracted major international companies and industry leaders.

Organisers announced that this year’s exhibition will host more than 250 exhibitors from 50 countries, feature over 50 aerial displays, welcome around 12,000 visitors and showcase more than 100 aircraft of various types.

Marketing representatives also outlined the exhibition’s future development plans, including expanded exhibition space and the participation of new international companies.

The event concluded with discussions between military attachés and company representatives, who exchanged views and received updates on preparations for the upcoming edition.
