The Egyptian weightlifting team is celebrating a series of major victories at the Junior World Championships currently held in Ismailia.
Local athletes have delivered standout performances, proving their readiness to compete at the highest level and securing several medals for the host nation.
The highlight of the competition so far was the performance of champion Abdelrahman Hussein.
Competing in the 79 kg weight class, Hussein dominated the field to win three gold medals in the snatch, clean and jerk, and total lift.
Joining him in the spotlight was 17-year-old Ali Abdelradi, who captured the crowd’s attention by breaking three records in the under-17 category while also earning a bronze medal in the snatch.
These recent successes have boosted the Egyptian team’s total medal count to seven, consisting of three gold and four bronze medals.
This impressive tally includes earlier bronze medal wins by Basma Ramadan and Elsayed Ali. The team continues to celebrate these achievements as they showcase the strength and promising future of Egyptian weightlifting on the world stage.
