President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has affirmed that Djibouti’s continued stability and progress reflect the firm confidence of its people in the country’s leadership.
President Sisi phoned Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh, and extended his sincere congratulations to him on securing a new presidential term through the elections held earlier this month.
Sisi lauded Guelleh’s sustained efforts to advance development and prosperity in Djibouti, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said.
President Sisi also voiced Egypt’s keenness to further boost co-operation with Djibouti, underlining the importance of building on the solid fraternal ties. and advancing the strategic partnership between the two countries across various sectors.
He also highlighted the need to intensify consultation and coordination on regional issues of mutual concern.
For his part, President Guelleh expressed his appreciation for the gesture, reaffirming the depth of the longstanding brotherly and strategic relations between Egypt and Djibouti. He commended the positive momentum in bilateral ties and stressed the importance of expanding co-operation in areas of shared interest.
