Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met Thursday with German Professor Volker Kauder of the University of Giessen.
Kauder is a former majority leader of the Bundestag.
The foreign minister praised the distinguished relationship between Egypt and Germany at all levels, highlighting the positive development it has witnessed in recent years, along with the growing momentum across political, economic, investment and development fields.
Abdelatty commended Germany’s constructive role in supporting development projects in Egypt.
He affirmed the depth of relations between the two friendly countries, voicing hope to continue working to enhance all aspects of bilateral cooperation.
The meeting included a discussion on developments regarding the Palestinian issue, as the minister reviewed Egypt’s efforts to consolidate the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid and achieve a permanent and just political settlement to the Palestinian problem.
Meantime, Abdelatty stressed the need for rallying international efforts, with a view to ensuring the swift formation of an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip, so it could carry out its tasks in upholding Gaza ceasefire deal.
