Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inaugurated the twenty-ninth edition of Cairo ICT, the leading Middle East and Africa exhibition and conference for technology and innovation, held from November 16 to 19 under the theme AI Everywhere. Bringing together more than 500 exhibitors, top ministries, and national institutions, the event highlights Egypt’s growing momentum in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and future technologies.
During the opening tour, Madbouli emphasised the ICT sector’s role as a strategic engine for economic growth, supported by national initiatives to expand digital services, enhance infrastructure, boost local manufacturing, and develop digital skills.
He also witnessed the pilot launch of new services for Egyptians abroad on the Digital Egypt platform, alongside announcements regarding upcoming digital identity solutions and a new package of 45 exclusive online government services designed to enhance accessibility and efficiency for citizens.
Cairo ICT 2025 encompasses five major specialised events under one umbrella, reflecting the breadth of Egypt’s expanding digital ecosystem and its commitment to future technologies. These include PAFIX, the twelfth edition of the international exhibition for digital payments and financial inclusion; AIDC, the international conference for artificial intelligence, data centers, and cloud computing; Connecta, dedicated to youth and entertainment technology; the Innovation Arena for creative and entrepreneurial solutions; and Cyber Zone, focused on cybersecurity and held for the first time across two locations.
With the participation of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Central Bank of Egypt, NTRA, ITIDA, the Egyptian Postal Service, and the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation—alongside “Future of Egypt” as Guest of Honour—the exhibition offers interactive sessions, applied showcases, and cutting-edge demonstrations across AI, IoT, 5G, cybersecurity, smart cities, digital education, cloud technologies, green tech, and advanced digital identity systems.
