CAIRO – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Sunday toured the pavilions of the sixth edition of the TransMEA Smart Transport, Logistics, and Industry Exhibition, held this year under the theme “Industry and Transport Together for Sustainable Development.”
Madbouli was accompanied during his tour by Kamel el Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport.
The two officials toured various exhibition pavilions showcasing the latest Egyptian-made land, rail, and maritime transport technologies — produced either by national companies or in partnership with international firms.
At the start of the opening ceremony, Wazir delivered a speech expressing his appreciation to the transport and industry ministers of Turkey, Greece, and South Africa, as well as to the deputy prime minister and minister of transport of the Republic of the Congo, and several ambassadors attending the event.
He said the exhibition serves as a key regional platform for presenting the latest innovations and developments in smart transport, logistics, and industrial technologies.
Wazir referred to the participation of major global companies in the event and the keenness of Arab countries in keeping pace with rapid technological advances in these vital sectors.
This year’s edition features broad international participation from more than 30 countries, underscoring its growing status as a leading regional hub for showcasing cutting-edge solutions in transport, logistics, and industrial development.
