Aswan International Airport and Assiut International Airport have successfully renewed their operating licences for three years, until 2029, after passing inspections conducted by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
This achievement marks another step in the development of Egypt’s civil aviation sector. The Egyptian Airports Company, headed by Chairman and CEO, Wael El-Nashar successfully completed the renewal process.
The renewal reflects the company’s commitment to complying with the regulations of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) and the international standards and requirements set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). It also highlights ongoing efforts to improve the readiness of Egyptian airports, enhance safety and operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

These efforts are part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s strategy to develop Egypt’s aviation and airport systems and strengthen their competitiveness.
Obtaining a three-year airport licence is not simply a matter of meeting regulatory requirements. It reflects teamwork, systematic planning, and professional commitment. Such achievements demonstrate that aviation safety is a major responsibility and that operational excellence comes from continuous work, effective coordination, strict adherence to standards, and ongoing improvement.
This achievement also reinforces the responsibility to maintain the highest aviation safety standards, improve risk management, and promote a strong safety culture as a core institutional value and a shared responsibility among all employees. These efforts help ensure continued compliance and improve overall performance.
