Minister of State for Military Production Engineer Mohamed Salah Eddin paid an inspection visit to the Abu Zaabal Specialised Industries Company (Factory 300) as part of his ongoing field follow-up of the ministry’s affiliated companies to ensure smooth production operations and monitor progress across manufacturing stages.
The minister visited the company’s product exhibition, reviewing samples of its latest outputs, before inspecting various production lines across the facility.
Minister Salah Eddin stressed that Abu Zaabal Specialised Industries is one of the largest military industrial complexes in the Middle East, serving as a major pillar in meeting the needs of Egypt’s Armed Forces and police for small- and medium-caliber weapons and ammunition.
The facility stands as a symbol of Egypt’s growing self-reliance in defence manufacturing, the minister said.
The minister was briefed by Chairman of the company Mostafa Amer, who presented data on production rates, performance indicators, and input supplies, as well as updates on the development projects currently under implementation and measures being taken to execute the company’s modernization plans.
The minister also held discussions with several workers and technical staff, listening to their views and concerns.
He urged them to continue exerting maximum effort to raise productivity, and instructed management to remove any obstacles facing workers, and ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
Minister Salah Eddin emphasised that the company plays a vital role within the Ministry of Military Production’s integrated industrial system, working alongside other affiliated companies to support Egypt’s national economy and strengthen the domestic manufacturing base.
The minister issued directives to continue implementing measures to improve performance, ensure strict application of quality standards, and preserve company assets and resources.
He also underscored the importance of adhering to project timelines for all assigned work to maintain operational excellence and credibility.
Factory 300 was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in February 2020, and was provided with state-of-the-art technology, including robot-operated systems and multi-spindle machines that deliver production capacities ten times greater than conventional equipment.
