CAIRO – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli chaired the Cabinet’s meeting Wednesday to discuss a number of political, economic and social issues figuring high on the government’s agenda and ways to implement presidential directives entrusted to the government in the best possible way within appropriate timeframes.
During the meeting, the Cabinet is scheduled to discuss a number of topics, including, the prime minister and his Jordanian counterpart co-chairing of the 33rd session of the Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee in the Jordanian capital, Amman, following up on the President’s directives to meet citizens’ needs, continued and intensified efforts to curb inflation, along with maintaining increased spending on the health, education and social protection sectors, monitoring market activity and the availability of food commodities, continued work on national projects across the governorates, increasing social protection measures and caring for the most vulnerable citizens, as well as topics related to developing education and health services, comprehensive development, investments, boosting exports and localising industries as part of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The Cabinet will also follow up on previous measures regarding investment, industry, exports, agricultural land expansion, providing industrial land for investors, social security coverage, taxation, development in various state sectors and measures to support low-income groups and provide for citizens’ needs in general.
