Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli led the celebration on Saturday, marking 123 years since the launch of Egypt’s ambulance services, in a ceremony held at its main headquarters in Hadayek October City.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar alongside several ministers, governors, parliamentarians in addition to Amr Rashid, Chairman of the Egyptian Ambulance Organization, foreign ambassadors, health leaders and representatives of international companies operating in Egypt.

Following the ceremony, Madbouli conducted a field inspection tour to monitor the implementation progress of key housing and utilities projects in Sheikh Zayed City and New October City. He was accompanied by Minister of Housing Sherif el Sherbiny, Giza Governor Adel el Naggar and senior officials from the housing ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority.

Madbouli said his participation in the ambulance anniversary celebration reflects the government’s recognition of the vital role of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority as a key partner in the national healthcare system, adding that his field visit to the sites of residential and infrastructure projects in 6th of October, New October, and Sheikh Zayed cities is meant to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Madbouli reaffirmed the state’s commitment to providing affordable and diverse housing options for all social segments. These efforts align with Egypt’s broader vision for human development and improving citizens’ quality of life, as part of the comprehensive national development strategy led by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, according to him.

During his inspection visit, Madbouli handed over housing contracts to several beneficiaries of social housing projects in New October City, underlining the government’s ongoing efforts to provide suitable housing coupled with essential services that ensure a dignified standard of living.
