CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised ties binding Egypt and Luxembourg.
During a joint press conference held Tuesday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel, at the end of their talks in Cairo the Egyptian minister said, talks took up means of boosting bilateral ties.
Abdelatty said Luxembourg foreign minister’s visit to Egypt reflects a common interest in promoting bilateral ties, voicing appreciation of the role played by Bettel in strengthening relations with Egypt.
Discussions took up ways to strengthen relations and the prospects for expanding them in the various political economic and commercial fields, according to the minister.
Abdelatty also pointed out that the two sides agreed on the importance of holding regular consultations and coordination between the two countries on issues of common interest.
He welcomed the appointment of a non-resident ambassador to the Duchy of Luxembourg in Cairo for the first time.
