Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Air Marshal Mohamed Abbas Helmy, attended the third edition of the Caisec’24 Information and Cybersecurity Conference, themed “Securing the Future.”
The conference emphasized the practical implementation of the state’s vision for information technology and cybersecurity. It was supported by the Supreme Cybersecurity Council of the Cabinet and saw participation from various ministries, state institutions, and several global companies specializing in this field.
Air Marshal Helmy highlighted the importance of the conference in fostering cooperation to combat cyberattacks. He underscored the necessity of continuously updating cybersecurity measures amidst increasing cyber threats, securing all systems through regular updates, and monitoring them with appropriate tools. He also stressed the importance of educating and training personnel on preventing and handling cyberattacks, emphasizing that data and system protection is a collective responsibility.
Additionally, Helmy called for more workshops with specialized companies to share expertise and solutions and stay abreast of the latest developments in cybersecurity. He also pointed to the need for advancing artificial intelligence technologies related to cybersecurity.
