CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Agriculture El-Said el-Qosair discussed on Tuesday with a Russian delegation under Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin means to promote relations between the two countries in the farming domain.
Minister Qosair hailed as distinguished and deeply-rooted the relations between the two countries pointing out that the two sides permanently coordinate at all levels.
The relations between the two countries flourished during the era of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, said Qosair, pointing out that the two countries coordinate on various issues and exchange viewpoints especially in the agricultural domain.
Qosair added co-operation between the two sides also covers veterinary vaccines through the Veterinary Serum & Vaccine Research Institute at the Agricultural Research Centre and Russia’s animal protection institute where the two sides prepare an integrated programme in this domain.
The two sides discussed means to increase trade exchange in the agricultural domain especially in citrus and potatoes and agreed to expedite measures of signing a memorandum of understanding in the quarantine domain to facilitate goods movement between the two countries.
