Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said on Sunday the development of Ambulance pharmacies runs in line with the State’s efforts to upgrade medical services, noting that these pharmacies are of importance as they serve wide section of citizens in different governorates.
Madbouli, during his inauguration of five branches of Ambulance 24 pharmacies after their development via video conference, directed officials to speed up efforts to find suitable locations to apply the “Ambulance 24” pharmacies model in various governorates, saying the government is keen on ironing out hurdles to increasing the number of such a medical model.
Madbouli listened to a presentation from head of he Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement,
Medical Supply, and Technology Management Bahaa El Din Zidan on Ambulance 24, saying it is an upgraded model of the pharmacies affiliated with the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Trade Company.
As a first stage, five branches were opened today after renovation, including two branches in Cairo and one branch in Alexandria, Dakahlia, and Assiut each, he said, adding that this model will be applied nationwide within the coming period as part of efforts to achieve comprehensive sustainability in the health sector and expand services provided to Egyptian citizens.
