Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted that the government is ready to provide all kinds of support and needed facilities to swiftly construct Beko Egypt factory for home appliances to meet the needs of the domestic and external markets.

This came on Saturday during Madbouli’s tour of the 10th or Ramadan City where he inspected the project’s site to check on the construction stages of Beko Egypt factory for home appliances where he was received by General Manager of Beko Egypt Ümit Can Günel.

Günel said that Beko Egypt factory, which is established via Turkish investments in the 10th of Ramadan City, in Sharqia governorate, was among the first industrial projects to get the gold license which is given by the government to investors desiring to quicken the pace of their business ventures in the Egyptian market.

The factory will have a great promising potential, he said, urging all major international companies to seize the huge opportunities and incentives offered by the Egyptian government to invest in the country.

The factory will be built on an area of 114,000 square meters with investments surpassing 100 million dollars, Günel said.

The company supports Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development via providing thousands of job opportunities and introducing innovative eco-friendly technological solutions that meet the needs of the Egyptian market, he added.

The first phase of the factory will be finished in the first quarter of 2024 to produce home appliances including fridges and ovens that are manufactured with the use of eco-friendly technology, he said.

Beko Egypt aims at developing the systems of the environment of local suppliers and establishing a center for research and development that aims at transferring its expertise to the local market and creating sustainable value to all manufacturing processes in support of the strategy of the government to deepen the local industry and make Egypt a robust industrial hub that exports its products to foreign markets, he said.
