Cairo- Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said he was honoured of joint work, fruitful co-operating and regular and constructive consultation with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, over the past seven years.
Merkel is of a great personality with unique style of leadership, that combines wisdom and strength. She has achieved a lot for her nation, people, Europe and the world over her bright political career, President Sisi tweeted.
The president reiterated that Egypt will never forget what Merkel has done for boosting Egyptian-German ties, as well as promoting the bonds of friendship between the peoplesof both countries.
Olaf Scholz was sworn in on Wednesday to succeeded Merkel as the chancellor of Germany.
