Cairo- Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tareq Al Molla discussed on Wednesday with Bulgarian Ambassador here Deyan Angelov Katratchev a number of issues related to promoting Egyptian-Bulgarian co-operation in the field of energy and natural gas.
In a joint statement, the two sides affirmed the depth of relations between the leaderships and peoples of Egypt and Bulgaria, expressing support for boosting co-operation between the two sides.
The Bulgarian diplomat, for his part, expressed hope that Egypt’s gas would be an important element in meeting Bulgaria’s energy needs.
He said that Bulgaria is interested in joining the East Mediterranean gas forum due to its role in achieving the interests of all parties.
He added that Bulgaria is following up closely the successes made in Egypt’s oil sector.
Minister Molla welcomed proposals floated by the Bulgarian diplomat during the meeting and praised relations between the two countries.
