CAIRO – Egyprtian Petroleum Minister Tarek el-Molla said on Sunday the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) is currently extending a 120-kilometer-long pipeline to provide the northern coast until New Alamein city with natural gas.
The minister made the remarks during a visit to the GASCO-run national control center of natural gas network in New Cairo to make sure that the network is securing needs of consumers across the nation.
He underlined the importance of developing the national control center to improve the efficiency of natural gas delivery across the country.
He referred to the national natural gas network’s role in boosting development projects in the country, including the Decent Life initiative meant to develop the countryside.
