Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and his Iraqi counterpart Mohamed Shaiaa al Sudani on Tuesday witnessed the signing of 11 co-operation documents following the end of the joint higher committee meetings which were co-chaired by the two countries premiers.
In the field of small and medium-scale enterprises, the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) and the Egyptian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on co-operating in the establishment of small and medium-scale enterprises to achieve an economic growth.
Iraqi CBI Governor Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq and MSMEDA Chairman Bassel Rahmy signed the MOU.
Meanwhile, another MOU was signed between the Iraqi Foreign Service Institute (FSI) and Egypt’s Diplomatic Studies Institute, affiliated to the Foreign Ministry, with the aim of boosting co-operation in the field of diplomatic training and exchange of expertise.
Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Ahmed Nayef Al Dalimi signed for his country, while Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Alaa Moussa signed for his country.
Other MOUs were signed between the two countries in the fields of sports, tourism, civil service, trade, manpower, planning and social solidarity.
