KYIV – As part of the international strategic initiative “Help East”, four road trains with a total weight of 50 tonnes of humanitarian cargo arrived from France to Ukraine, Ukrinform reported Monday.
The founder of the initiative, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant-General Serhiy Naev said that the cargo is intended for residents of settlements located in the area of hostilities, as well as for refugees.
He added that the aid consists of food, hygiene products, clothes and blankets, goods for children, walkers, medicines, medical supplies, wheelchairs.
It is noted that over the past year, more than 83 tonnes of French humanitarian aid were delivered to 25 medical institutions in Ukraine, both in the area of the Joint Forces Operation and in other regions of the country.
