RAMALLAH – Scores of Israeli settlers, guarded by Israeli police, stormed into Al Aqsa Mosque compound on Tuesday, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
The settlers raided the mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, and performed provocative tours inside it.
They also performed Talmudic rituals in its yards.
Such repetitive break-ins carried out by Israeli settlers aim to divide al Aqsa Mosque spatially and temporally between Muslims and Jews, as was the case at Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
