CAIRO – Egyptian ambassador Bassim Hassan on Tuesday presented his credentials to Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti as Egypt’s new ambassador in Tunis.
During a meeting, the Tunisian minister congratulated the newly appointed Egyptian diplomat on the beginning of his tenure in Tunis.
Nafti also expressed his appreciation of time-honoured relations between the two countries, asserting his country’s keenness on promoting joint action with Egypt, at all levels, to face up to common challenges and address regional issues and crises.
For his part, the Egyptian diplomat underlined the depth of Egyptian-Tunisian ties, asserting the Egyptian leadership’s keenness on consolidating distinguished bilateral ties in all domains.
The Egyptian ambassador said he is looking forward to promoting continued coordination with relevant parties. with a view to opening new horizons for political, economic, cultural and consular cooperation.
