A series of suspected shooting attacks in central Israel on Sunday left one man dead and six others wounded, according to emergency responders and the military.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency service, reported that a man in his 30s was found dead with penetrating wounds near the community of Tzur Natan, close to the West Bank. Another man at the same location was evacuated in serious condition.
Separately, paramedics treated two men, approximately 50 and 30 years old, who were wounded in a shooting at a gas station near Kokhav Yair. A fourth man, also around 30, sustained a hand injury in Tzur Yitzhak.
The Israel Defense Forces said soldiers were deployed to the areas of Sal’it and Tzur Yitzhak following reports of multiple shooting incidents. Police said that after the attack near the entrance to Kokhav Yair, officers located a vehicle suspected of being involved and “neutralized the terrorist believed to be responsible.”
Israeli media reported that another suspected attacker remained at large, prompting an ongoing search by security forces.
