BARCELONA – Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said no party whatsoever can deny Egypt’s great role and efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue.
In an interview with MENA on Friday, Maliki stressed Palestine’s appreciation of the bold Egyptian position in support of the Palestinian cause.
“Egypt has always been the country on which we count to provide support and backing for our cause,” the Palestinian foreign minister said.
The interview was held on the sidelines of the 7th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) held in Barcelona.
Maliki added that Egypt has made many sacrifices to defend the Palestinian cause, end the occupation, and achieve the dream of establishing a Palestinian state.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian foreign minister said Ukraine grabbed not only the political attention of the international community, but also financial capabilities, noting in this regard that the Palestinian cause was given much interest and assistance before the war.
