An official spokesperson for the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army announced that air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed eight missiles that violated the Jordanian airspace early Monday morning, according to Petra News Agency.
The spokesperson confirmed that the armed forces handled the breach with precision, destroying the projectiles before they could pose any threat to citizens or property.
The operations were executed based on rigorous operational assessments, driven by the national responsibility to protect Jordan’s airspace, safeguard public safety and uphold established rules of engagement, according to the statement.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their unwavering preparedness and professionalism across all military formations, stressing that they would take all necessary measures to defend the homeland, preserve its sovereignty and maintain national security and stability.
