Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan that Tehran was ready to help start a dialogue between Riyadh and Sanaa, according to Iranian media.
In a telephone call on Sunday night, Araghchi and bin Farhan discussed regional developments, Mehr News Agency reported.
Araghchi voiced concern over rising tensions and said pursuing a military approach while neglecting a political solution would further complicate the situation.
“There is no military solution to the crises in the region,” he said, adding that Iran was ready to assist efforts to launch a dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Yemen and reach a political solution.
