The tandem of Iliana Iotova and Kiril Valchev won the Bulgarian presidential election with a score of 57.6 per cent in the runoff, based on 100 per cent of the tally sheets from section election commissions, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported.

Their opponents, presidential candidate Andrey Gurov and his vice-presidential running mate Georgi Kandev, garnered 39.5 per cent of the runoff vote, the Cetral Election Commission reported on Monday.

Iotova/Valchev earned 1,093,852 votes, while Gurov/Kandev received 750,251 votes.

The “None of the above” option, meaning that a person who cast their vote did not support either ticket, was marked by 56,080 people.
