Egypt’s Minister of Labour, Hassan Raddad, followed up on Saturday on the final preparations for launching a single digital system for managing foreign work permits.
The new system is aimed at enhancing the country’s investment climate, streamlining procedures and providing faster, easier and more efficient services to investors, businesses and foreign workers.
The system will provide a unified electronic platform covering the entire foreign work permit lifecycle, from company registration and accreditation through application review, approvals and permit issuance, in addition to public verification mechanisms.It will electronically link the service with all relevant ministries and government authorities, ensuring integration across all stages.
Minister Raddad has stressed that the project reflects the ministry’s commitment to digital transformation and improving government services.
He said the new system will reduce the time and effort required, providing a state-of-the-art, fast and efficient service that meets investors’ needs.
The minister has made it clear that electronic integration with all relevant authorities involved in issuing foreign work permits will ensure smooth data flow, minimise duplication and establish a unified, transparent process.
