Telecom Egypt, the country’s first integrated telecom operator, announces the launch of “WE Access,” a service that supports Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in developing their businesses and promotes digital transformation. The service enables companies to link their offices and branches together effortlessly while maintaining the highest degree of control and security. It also provides data analytics, which strongly support and develop marketing activities.

The new service provides comprehensive technological solutions for SMEs and ensures additional data security by providing a smart private wireless network (SMART Wi-Fi) for employees and a separate public network for visitors. This allows companies to interact with customers and understand their behavioral trends, which contributes to revenue growth, improves operational efficiency, and reduces costs.

By integrating Cisco Meraki’s cloud-managed platform in WE Access, Telecom Egypt is able to offer its customers a unified approach that includes Wireless LAN, Security and more, offering full visibility into the network’s users, their devices, and their applications. WE Access is supported by Cisco Meraki’s next generation firewall, providing protection against harmful content, while maintaining productivity and compliance with applicable business and regulatory requirements. All features and capabilities come with zero-touch cloud provisioning where Auto VPN technology securely connects branches in three clicks through an intuitive, web-based dashboard.

Adel Hamed, TE’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, commented: “We are very pleased with this partnership with Cisco Meraki as it demonstrates our keenness to develop our services and meet the evolving needs of our customers. It also exhibits our commitment toward serving SMEs, which will create new employment opportunities in different sectors.”

Jason Pernell, Vice President of Global Sales, Cisco Meraki, commented: “As organizations continue to evolve in this  digital world, they must find a way to maintain productivity, increase efficiency, and deliver solutions that allow secure and optimal access. Through our partnership with Telecom Egypt, we are excited to expand to new global markets and continue our commitment to deliver a comprehensive, cloud-first platform to help customers save time and money, and enable their secure networks to scale as their business demands grow.”
