Schneider Electric will equip a student lab for designing networks, smart buildings, and renewable energy, and develop curricula for energy and renewable energy programs courses to match the 2018 Schneider Electric guide and in accordance with the IEC standards. We will also developan experimental guide for students in some subjects and give students participating in the training access to our EIG-Wiki version of the guide.”
The agreement allows students of the Credit Hours Department, Division of Energy Engineering, to study the International Electrical Installations Code IEC-60364 and the Egyptian Code for the Design of Electrical Networks, which strongly qualifies them to join the Egyptian labor market through the theoretical and practical study of the code through scientific materials and simulation devices that Schneider Electric will provide to the faculty’s laboratories.
The establishment of the Center of Excellence for Energy followed Ain Shams University winning three partnerships in the fields of energy, water, and agriculture, which were identified by Egypt in 2030 Vision to lead research and innovations. Ain Shams is the only Egyptian university participating in the threefields at the level of Egyptian universities.
