The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Egypt (NTRA) signed today a joint cooperation protocol with the National Training Academy (NTA) to exchange expertise in advanced technologies and training programs, which aim to polish the skills of future leaders.

The cooperation protocol signed between both sides also entails executing ad-hoc training as well as awareness programs for trainees in telecommunication and information technology, as well as cybersecurity, in a step which represents NTRA and NTA’s intention to strengthen cooperation, coordination and integration ties in order to improve human capacities in alignment with modern techniques.

Furthermore, the cooperation protocol signed between both entities aims to provide a unified vision and run joint training programs designed by experts and professionals from both sides. It also intends to prepare specialized capacities capable of fulfilling the market requirements as per the State’s strategy to achieve inclusive digital transformation.

The agreement was signed by NTRA’s Executive President, Eng. Hossam El-Gamal, and NTA’s Executive Director, Dr. Rascha Ragheb, post a number of meetings held between both sides during which many common topics were agreed on.

Furthermore, this partnership would reflect on improving human capacities and result in running high quality ad-hoc training courses by experts and professionals from both sides in cybersecurity, digital services and advanced technologies such as, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

It would also help with preparing professional calibers capable of finding pragmatic solutions to take on the challenges faced by Egypt’s telecom market.

NTRA’s Executive President, Eng. Hossam El-Gamal, pointed out that the cooperation protocol signed with NTA aligns with NTRA’s aim to establish strategic partnerships with the leading scientific and professional organizations on the topics of training and digital development of young leaders.

It would also ensure raising the awareness level of the opportunities of, as well as challenges to, digital transformation process that is rapidly adopted by the State, added Eng. Hossam.

Meanwhile, NTA’s Executive Director, Dr. Rascha Ragheb, started off with congratulating Eng. Hossam El-Gamal for being chosen as a member of the ITU-Digital Innovation Board in its first form approved by ITU last February.

Dr. Rascha also valued the cooperation with NTRA stating that such a protocol would foster digital skills and reduce cyber risks in Egypt, through providing many as well as diversified training programs to fulfill the market requirements.

She also said the protocol adds to NTA’s plan which entails signing many cooperation agreements that integrate with NTA’s vision evolving around investing in human capacities, our most significant non-depletable resource.
