Under the umbrella of season four of LG’s social responsibility initiative under the slogan “Life’s Good” and In cooperation with the Misr El Kheir Foundation, the company has successfully delivered two Ultra HD TV screens and two top-load washing machines to a nursing home that follows the Social Welfare Foundation in the city of Minuf, within the framework of its keenness to participate in providing aspects of humanitarian care to the most vulnerable groups and raising the efficiency of the home’s services.
The in-kind donation from LG Egypt comes as a continuation of the fourth season of the company’s social responsibility initiative and within the limits of the memorandum of understanding that was renewed at the beginning of this year between the two parties for the second year in a row, which allows LG to provide community support to those who deserve it through participation. In a number of different social responsibility initiatives with the aim of providing material and moral support to the most deserving groups and providing a decent life for all members of Egyptian society.
Within the same context Billy Kim, General Manager of LG Egypt, has commented: “LG Egypt is fully committed, according to the memorandum of understanding with the Misr El Kheir Foundation and in accordance with the company’s global slogan “Life’s Good”, to provide all possible means of support to the most deserving groups.
Therefore, we are proud of our joint efforts with the Foundation to work to provide necessary devices and means of entertainment for the residents of the home, thus achieving the basic goal of cooperation, which is to raise the efficiency of services provided by various social care institutions and provide a decent life for all members of society in its various categories, as well as reaching the needy and the first to be cared for throughout the Republic of Egypt.
In the same context, Engineer Ahmed Youssef, Director of Direct Aid at the Misr El Kheir Foundation, said that the services provided by Misr El Kheir to the beneficiaries throughout the year through the Department of Humanitarian Aid out of belief in its societal and vital role towards the beneficiaries in all governorates of Egypt. Youssef expressed his happiness in cooperating with LG Company, stressing that This cooperation was not the first of its kind, as the cooperation with Misr El Kheir is old and included many sectors in the organization, and we hope that this partnership will continue.
Youssef indicated that this comes within the framework of the strategy and goal of the Misr El Kheir Foundation, which always works to develop people and maximize their humanity. The above-mentioned memorandum of understanding stipulates LG Egypt’s commitment to provide support and contribute to raising the efficiency of services provided by institutions affiliated with Misr El Kheir in several areas, including interest in supporting families in need of care by providing basic needs during the semester Winter, providing basic food as part of a fasting breakfast campaign to lift the burden and provide support to the beneficiaries, raising the efficiency of services provided in orphanages, the elderly, and centers for people with special needs with the aim of providing a decent life for the groups most cared for, supporting youth centers and providing advanced capabilities to enable the youth group to discover their talents. And developing it, in addition to providing support to the Misr El Kheir Foundation in its initiatives to facilitate marriage by contributing to the provision of basic household appliances for all families in need of care.
