El Ezaby Pharmacy launched a mobile application for its affiliated pharmacies with investments of LE20 million, aiming to provide better communication methods to customers. The application adopts the latest smart-phones systems to help customers know the latest offers provided by the chain.
Dr Ahmed Al-Sadati, Executive Vice President of El Ezaby Pharmacy group, said that the new application also allows the user to take pictures of and send any prescription for the pharmacy. The definition of the nearest branches in your place of residence, and the possibility of submitting any complaint regarding any product of El Ezaby pharmacies are also provided through the app.
Dr. Al-Sadati expected the new electronic application to achieve sales of LE100 million during the current year, forecasting a 50% increase annually.
Considered the only chain that has received ISO certification in Egypt, the El Ezaby pharmacies are currently having the largest call centre in the Middle East, meant to deliver medicines to homes via the number 19600 or through WhatsApp on the numbers of El Ezaby pharmacies, Al-Sadati said. The delivery will include all governorates from Alexandria to Aswan.
The executive vice president said that an electronic system for prescription circulation is being implemented in all group branches, which number 180 branches, stressing that it is an important step in the development of the health care system in Egypt.
Sadati called on all pharmacies and doctors to apply electronic prescription circulation systems to preserve public health and prevent overcrowding in pharmacies as well as eliminate any errors that may result from the lack of clarity of names of medicines or their dosages due to bad handwriting.
