Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said that his ministry stands at the same distance from all candidates in elections at sports clubs and federations.
The Youth and Sports Ministry works only to provide integrity and transparency guarantees for the success of the election process, Sobhi added in press statements late on Thursday.
He said that the elections would be run and monitored by a higher judicial committee.
The committee would be also responsible for examining all candidates’ papers and appeals to give its opinion, as well as offering the guarantees and requirements necessary to carry out the electoral process in an atmosphere of impartiality, integrity and objectivity, the sports minister said.
