CAIRO – Egypt’s tennis star Mayar Sherif continued her strong run at the Antalya tennis Open, an ATP 250 tournament in Antalya, reaching the women’s doubles quarter-finals.
Teaming up with Greece’s Despina Papamichail, Sherif showed great teamwork and focus, beating the Romanian-Georgian pair in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
They wrapped up the win in one hour and 13 minutes, staying solid from the baseline and handling the key points well.

Sherif also impressed in singles, moving into the round of 16 after a 6-1, 7-6 victory over Spain’s Guiomar Mirstani.
The match lasted two hours and nine minutes, but Sherif stayed calm and consistent to finish strong.
The Antalya Open runs from February 24 to March 1 in Türkiye and features top players in both singles and doubles, with Sherif emerging as one of the tournament’s standout names.
