TANGIER, Morocco- Egypt’s Al Ahly fell 2-4 to Copa Libertadores holders Flamengo on Saturday, ending their 2023 FIFA Club World Cup campaign in fourth place.
In the previous two Club World Cups, Al Ahly finished third.
Ahmed Abdelkader scored twice for Al Ahly, but it wasn’t enough for the Cairo giants that conceded 4 goals by Gabriel Barbosa and Pedro.
Later in the day, Saudi Al Hilal will meet Real Madrid for the championship.
