Defending champions Al-Ahly and El-Geish claimed victories in their matches in the 28th week of the 2020-21 Egyptian Premier League season.

At Alexandria Stadium, Al-Ahly defeated Smouha 4-0. The Red Devils’ goals came from striker Mohamed Sherif who scored twice in the 39th, 58th minutes as right-winger Hussein el-Shahat added the third in the 42nd minutes and Tunisian left-back Ali Maaloul scored the fourth from the penalty spot in the 44th minutes.

The victory pushed Al-Ahly to second place with 45 points from 21 matches as Smouha remained at fourth place with 40 points from 28 matches.

At the Arab Contractors Stadium, El-Geish stunned Arab Contractors 1-0.

The game sole goal came from striker Nasser Mansi in the 87th minutes.

The result left Arab Contractors to 14th place with 29 points from 26 matches as El-Geish climbed to 7th place with 37 points from 28 matches.

Elsewhere, Pyramids FC held to a 1-1 draw against Enppi at the Air Defense Stadium.

nger Mohamed Sherif opened the scoring for Enppi in the 31st minutes as Pyramids centre-forward Mohamed el-Gabbas equalized just seven minutes later.

The result pushed Enppi to 5th place with 38 points from 28 matches as Pyramids remained at 8th place with 36 points from 24 matches.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola, Pharco and Eastern Company SC have sealed promotion to the Egyptian Premier League next season.
