Montaser Manna, Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Security and Environmental Inspection, inspected the flying balloon sites on the western mainland in Luxor to follow up on the safety procedures followed in operating the flying balloon.
The Higher Committee for Security and Environmental Inspection also conducted an inspection tour to follow up and assess the security, health and environmental situation at Luxor International Airport.
During the tour, the committee inspected the travel and arrival halls, passport counters, the control and meteorological tower, as well as the goods village, the duty-free zone, the quarantine and the isolation room, where it was briefed on the security and precautionary measures applied inside and outside the airport.
This comes in addition to sterilisation operations inside the halls, bag belts, and breaks, in conjunction with the directions of the Egyptian government to tighten precautionary measures to confront the developments of the situation regarding the Omicron variant and to fully comply with all precautionary and health measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus virus.
