Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy issued a decision appointing Pilot Ahmed Shennan as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir, replacing Hussein Sherif, who resigned after a successful tenure during which EgyptAir achieved numerous accomplishments at all levels of the company.
The Minister of Civil Aviation expressed his sincere gratitude to Hussein Sherif for his efforts in advancing the company during his four-year tenure as chairman, wishing him success in his future endeavoors.
He also extended his best wishes for the success of the new management under the leadership of Pilot Ahmed Shennan, who previously served as the Director of Air Operations and an accredited trainer by ICAO. Shennan also held the position of General Manager of Safety and Quality at the company.
Shennan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Hussein Sherif for leading the company during challenging times over the past four years, during which a solid foundation and structure were established to pave the way for success and development.
He affirmed his commitment to continue the journey of success and EgyptAir’s strategy of expansion, enhancing safety and quality standards, and profitability. He also thanked the Minister of Civil Aviation and the Board of Directors for their trust.
