Head of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority Amr El-Sharqawi received Head of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority Mohamed Shalibek at the headquarters of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, as part of expanding the circle of joint co-operation and exchanging experiences with all Arab countries, including Libya, which enhances regional and international integration in the field of air transport.
The two sides discussed a number of issues related to the development and rapid growth witnessed by the air transport industry at the regional level, as well as reviewing ways to improve the performance of the airspace between the two countries.
The meeting also dealt with exchanging visions and viewpoints on various issues of common interest, including the field of aviation security and safety and training in addition to reviewing the latest technical means and innovation methods that support and are necessary to develop air services regionally and internationally.
For his part, the head of the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority and his accompanying delegation expressed their happiness with this visit, praising the great and tangible efforts of the Egyptian civil aviation sector and its pivotal role in advancing the civil aviation system in the sisterly state of Libya, due to the high potential they saw in various work sites and advanced practical and educational training programmes.
