El Alamein International Airport is completing its final preparations to welcome participants and delegations attending the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow (EIAS 2026), scheduled to take place this September.

Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company, Pilot Wael El Nashar, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the airport to assess operational readiness, review work plans and ensure the highest standards of service for delegations and passengers attending the global event.

The inspection covered departure and arrival halls, passenger flows, travel and security procedures, screening and inspection points, departure gates and baggage-handling systems, as well as arrangements for receiving participating delegations.

El Nashar also reviewed aircraft parking areas, taxiways, the runway, technical equipment, facilities and support services to ensure their efficiency and integration in preparation for the anticipated increase in air traffic.

He further stressed that hosting an international event of this scale requires meticulous attention to detail, noting that readiness depends not only on resources and equipment, but also on operational efficiency, seamless coordination between teams and the quality of services provided.

He directed the swift completion of all outstanding preparations, immediate resolution of any issues and continued coordination among all relevant authorities to ensure full operational readiness when the exhibition opens.

EIAS 2026 will bring together companies and institutions specialising in aviation and aerospace, featuring an international exhibition, conference and air shows highlighting the latest technologies and innovations in the sector.

As the exhibition’s primary gateway and main point of entry for delegations and participants, El Alamein International Airport will play a vital role in the event’s success, reflecting Egypt’s capacity to host and organise major international events to the highest standards.
