Saturday, 26 May 1973 – An Egyptian military court has sentenced two men to death for spying for Israeli intelligence.The defendants, Soliman Salman Soliman, and his brother-in-law, Fawzan Soliman Hussein, were convicted of passing top-secret military information to the enemy.

The General Intelligence Department revealed that the network used drug smuggling across the front lines to finance its operations and undermine Egypt’s war effort. Soliman will be executed by hanging, while Hussein will face a firing squad.
