Geneva, 8 June 1926 — The Mosul Convention has been formally ratified, marking a significant resolution to the long-standing territorial dispute. Under the terms of the agreement, Türkiye has officially consented to relinquish its claims to the Mosul region in exchange for a share in oil royalties for a period of 25 years. This settlement is expected to bring much-needed stability to the region and concludes lengthy negotiations between the interested powers.
