July 9th, 2016 – Thousands of workers are accelerating the development of the New Administrative Capital near Cairo, aiming to finish the first phase within 18 months. Designed to alleviate congestion and create a smart global hub, the project has already secured a $2 billion investment from an Egyptian-Spanish alliance, with the government set to begin selling land plots to investors this September.
