Egyptian demonstration in Vienna over Suez Canal

August 22, 1956 — Egyptian and Arab residents marched through St Stephen’s Square on August 16 to protest against the London Suez Conference. Demonstrators carried an Egyptian flag and banners declaring their opposition to imperialism and Western control over the canal.
