Representatives from Egypt, Israel and the United States have signed an official agreement to resolve the territorial dispute over Taba.
The accord was signed by Ambassador Shafei Abdul Hamid for Egypt, David Kimche for Israel, and Walter Stoessel for the United States. The agreement establishes a five-point framework.
Dr Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Egypt’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, welcomed the move, expressing hope for an early and final settlement of the dispute.
