COLOGNE, Germany — Euro 2024 is becoming a very regal affair after the king and queen of Belgium became the latest royals to attend the soccer tournament in Germany.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were in the crowd for Belgium’s group game against Romania on Saturday. They were joined by Prince Emmanuel and Prince Gabriel, AP reported.

On Thursday, it was the future king of England, Prince William, and Denmark’s King Frederik X who were in attendance and shook hands ahead of their respective nations’ 1-1 draw in Frankfurt.

The Prince of Wales has posed for a picture with Princess Josephine of Denmark and King Frederik X of Denmark in the stands at the UEFA Euro 2024 match.

The photo of the trio was shared to the Wales’ X account shortly after the England versus Denmark kick-off.

The post said: “May the best team win.”

King Felipe VI of Spain and president of the Royal Spanish football federation Pedro Rocha are seen in the stands during Spain and Italy match.

Long-time football fan William, who turns 42 on Friday, was also photographed laughing with Frederik in the crowd and the pair were filmed having an enthusiastic conversation.

William was wearing a suit and striped tie and Frederik an open-collar white shirt and blazer at the Frankfurt Arena in Germany.

The Prince of Wales was also photographed shaking hands with Uefa treasurer David Gill.

Also on Thursday, King Felipe VI of Spain watched his national team beat Italy 1-0.

King Philippe and the princes all wore dark suits, while Queen Mathilde wore a red dress. All had Belgium scarves draped over their shoulders.

They didn’t have to wait long to see their team score after Youri Tielemans’ goal in the second minute.
