The Indian Air Force’s renowned helicopter display team, ‘SARANG,’ is set to grace the skies of Egypt as part of the inaugural Egyptian International Airshow, scheduled to take place from September 3-5, 2024, in El Alamein. Joining a host of international participants, SARANG will showcase its world-class aerial maneuvers and contribute to the event’s global appeal.

A symbol of the Indian Air Force, SARANG has captivated audiences worldwide with its breathtaking performances and operational excellence. Established in 2003 and making its international debut at the Asian Aerospace Show in Singapore in 2004, the team has amassed an impressive record of over 1200 displays across 385 venues globally.

At the Egyptian International Airshow, SARANG will treat spectators to a mesmerizing display featuring five Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH). These versatile aircraft, designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), are known for their all-weather capabilities and multi-mission roles. The team will be flying the ALH MK1 variant, a testament to India’s commitment to self-reliance and technological advancement.

As SARANG takes to the skies over El Alamein, its aerial acrobatics will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the Egyptian audience and reinforce India’s growing presence in the global aviation landscape.
